Spousal open work permit is granted to a spouse of a skilled worker or full-time student in Canada. That is, if your spouse has an A, B or O category job or is enrolled as a full-time student at a DLI university/college in Canada then you are eligible to apply for a spousal open work permit on which you will be allowed to work full time with a Canadian employer. It is a type of open work permit.
Price: Professional fee + CIC Fee + Biometrics fee
787.50 CAD (Inclusive of 5% taxes) + 100 CAD + 85 CAD per person
Checklist:
a) Please ensure that you send us properly scanned documents that are legible. Photos taken on your phone will not be accepted as a proper document and you will be asked to send that document again through a scanner.
b) Information will be collected by you, please ensure that the information you provide is accurate and there are no gaps as that can cause delays in the processing of the file.
Actionable Client
The following are the requirements/documentation you have to provide for spousal open work permit:
- Passport biographical pages and all pages with visas and stamps.
- A copy of your CV/Resume (Please ensure it is up to date)
- Digital Photo (Please find attached a photo specifications sheet below and make sure that the photo is in accordance to that)
- Marriage certificate
- Current Immigration document of applicant.
- Experience letter/Employment letter of spouse from current employer.
- Payslips received from previous/current employer showing salary drawn by spouse.
- Bank Statement or any other statements showing funds available.
- If you done any education after 12th, like a degree/ master’s/diploma etc provide the certificate of that.
- Work permit of spouse.
The following are the additional requirements if you do not have any children together:
- Photos of your wedding and honeymoon.
- Whatsapp/Instagram or Facebook chats showing that you both are residing together and are married.
- Government issued IDs of both applicant and spouse showing the same residential address.
- Joint bank account statement.
- Papers of lease signed by both of you (If applicable)
Actionable Stepwise
The following documents will be sent to you by Stepwise Immigration. If you don’t receive these after 2-3 days of signing the retainer then kindly contact the administrative staff and tell them to do so.
- Signatures- IMM5476 & IMM5475 will be sent to you for a signature, kindly sign the forms and send us a clear scan copy back.
